Help us make Camp CHACA a reality!
Each year Camp CHACA is partially funded with support from the Peace Corps Partnership Program.
Through the Peace Corps Partnership Program you can donate online (once the grant is live, usually 4 months before camp) where one hundred percent of your tax-deductible contribution will go directly toward the designated Peace Corps Partnership Program project.
The Partnership Program does not completely fund projects, but serves as a link to groups, foundations, service organizations, and individuals wanting to contribute to the valuable work Volunteers do with their host communities. In order to receive funding through the Partnership Program, a community must make a 25 percent contribution to the total project cost and outline success indicators for the individual projects. This helps ensure community ownership, a greater chance of long-term sustainability, and ultimately, success.
Additionally, you can send a check to the Peace Corps Office of Gifts and Grants Management with this form. Supporting CHACA with Penny Wars / Pennies for Peace competitions in your classroom, church, or office:
Another way you can support Camp CHACA efforts in the future is by hosting a Penny Wars / Pennies for Peace competition in your classroom, at your church, or in your office building. In 2014 three schools in three different states raised over $1,200 for GLOW by doing just this. Those coins sent 12 girls to Camp GLOW… who knew small change such make such a big difference?!
